Overview

Developed the frontend for Wetex — a B2B e-commerce platform that leverages artificial intelligence to streamline the global fashion supply chain. The platform connects fashion brands directly with manufacturers, offering product sourcing, tiered wholesale pricing, supplier verification, and a comprehensive review system. It serves as a one-stop solution for brands looking to source apparel from verified suppliers worldwide.

My Role

Frontend Developer — Built the responsive e-commerce interface, product pages, and review system.

  • Smart Product Discovery: Category-based browsing (Men's, Women's, Kids, Sports) with search, flash deals with countdown timers, and curated "Popular Style" collections to drive engagement.
  • Wholesale Pricing Tiers: Dynamic pricing that adjusts based on order quantity (e.g., 50–100 pcs, 100–700 pcs, 700+ pcs), making it easy for buyers to understand cost savings at scale.
  • Verified Supplier Profiles: Detailed supplier pages with verification badges, location info, worldwide shipping indicators, and direct inquiry capabilities.
  • Comprehensive Review System: A robust rating system with 10K+ reviews, growth analytics, star-distribution visualization, and photo reviews — building trust for B2B transactions.
  • Live Chat Support: Integrated real-time chat widget for instant buyer-supplier communication.

Challenge & Solution

Displaying thousands of products with rich media (multiple images, size charts, color variants) while maintaining fast page loads required aggressive optimization. I implemented image lazy loading, skeleton screens during data fetching, and Next.js ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) to serve frequently-viewed product pages from cache — achieving sub-second load times for the product catalog.
