Wetex

🧠 Intro

Wetex is a B2B fashion supply chain platform that connects global apparel manufacturers with international buyers.

From a UX-first perspective, it needed to be fast, intuitive, and scalable — while still showcasing a massive product catalog and multi-country supplier network.

I led the development of the frontend and collaborated closely with the core team to turn this vision into a fully functional digital product.

🧩 Challenge

  • The platform targets both global buyers and local suppliers — with different languages, behavior, and device usage.

  • The design needed to balance rich product content with clean usability, especially on mobile.

  • Performance and scalability were critical, as product catalogs could scale to thousands of SKUs and suppliers.

  • SEO-friendliness and internationalization were required from day one.

🔧 What We Did

  • Built with Next.js + TailwindCSS for fast rendering and responsive UI

  • Custom multi-language routing (EN-VI) to support global buyers

  • Developed reusable UI components for product cards, price tiers, supplier profiles, and inquiry modals

  • Integrated filters, pagination, and category-level navigation with smooth transitions

  • Designed and coded the full product detail page with dynamic price scaling by quantity

  • Implemented seller store pages, supplier hub, and mini chat entry points

⚙️ Stack & Tools

  • Next.js 14 with App Router

  • React 18, TailwindCSS, TypeScript

  • Modular SCSS & CSS Modules for scoped styling

  • Future-ready for backend integration (Headless API ready)

🚀 Outcome

  • Delivered the MVP frontend within 6 weeks, ready for production

  • Helped the client demo successfully to international partners in Vietnam and the US

  • Performance scored 90+ on mobile using Lighthouse

  • Currently scaling with new features like messaging and RFQ system

🎯 What I Learned

  • Working on Wetex sharpened my skills in information architecture for complex ecommerce systems.

  • I also realized how important it is to think in “product scale”, even in the early MVP.

  • And most importantly: design clarity is what makes large systems feel simple.

✅ Final Thoughts

Wetex isn’t just another ecommerce site — it’s an ambitious, cross-border platform that bridges fashion supply with global demand. I’m proud to have contributed to its foundation, and excited to see how it grows.
